Since 1996 Fraunhofer IAO researches within the joint research project Office21® (www.office21.de)
together with numerous business partners the future of work – particularly the future of office and knowledge work. Numerous studies and concepts of Office21® are shaping since the understanding of designing the modern work organization. It’s therefore time to review these achievements and particularly to curiously look on the trends and themes that will be shaping the next ten years of knowledge work.

After a presentation by Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Bauer, head of Fraunhofer IAO (www.iao.fraunhofer.de),
experts in the field discussed the future of work, among them:

The joint research project Office21® (www.office21.de)
is strongly application oriented. The numerous business partners of the project are perusing the results of the project for conceptualizing a new strategy, developing new products and services and designing their own work organization. In this session the relevance of the Office21® project for practitioners was highlighted and discussed based on examples.
