ORGATEC 2026 is sending a strong message about its commitment to sustainability.

As an exhibitor, you have the opportunity to visibly incorporate sustainability into your trade fair presence. Whether through the reuse of stand construction materials or by donating surplus food. This is how you can demonstrate responsibility – for the environment and society.

Donate materials*

Reduce waste, save on disposal costs and show your clear commitment to sustainability. In partnership with TRASH GALORE, ORGATEC gives all exhibitors the opportunity to donate leftover stand construction materials – like wood, banners and carpets – to social, charitable or creative projects.

The benefits for you:

  • Play an active role in preventing waste and conserving resources
  • Savings on disposal/transport costs
  • Support of social and circular initiatives
  • Complete handling (also with removal, if requested)

Donate food*

“Rescue” surplus food instead of wasting it. Through our partnership with Tafel Köln e.V., exhibitors can donate leftover food from their stand catering at the end of each day of the fair to people in need in Cologne and the region.

Times and pickup locations:

  • Every day of the fair: 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
  • Delivery locations: a vehicle is parked between Halls 6 and 7, and another vehicle is near Halls 10.2 and 5.2

To make planning as easy as possible for the Tafel, please register as soon as possible if you think you might have food to donate.

Successful cooperation of Koelnmesse with TRASH GALORE and Tafel Köln e.V. already took place at interzum 2025 – joint engagement that showed how trade fair activities and social responsibility can be sensibly combined.
