ORGATEC, the leading international trade fair for the modern working world and contemporary workspaces, will take place in Cologne from 27 to 30 October 2026 and is already recording high registration figures. This year’s early bird discount phase ended on 15 June – four months earlier than for ORGATEC 2024. Nevertheless, around 8 per cent more space has been booked and the number of registered exhibitors is approximately 25 per cent above the equivalent figures for the previous edition. The positive figures illustrate the relevance of the trade fair and the considerable anticipation felt by the industry for next year’s event.

Koelnmesse has repositioned itself for a successful future with a new management structure: Maik Fischer, currently the director of interzum, will now also take over as director of ORGATEC and the newly created idd cologne. Thomas Postert, who recently oversaw the successful reorientation of ORGATEC in Cologne, will now be in charge of ORGATEC WORKSPACE Saudi Arabia.

New trade fair concept impresses: considerable increase in visitors compared to the previous event

From 22 to 25 October 2024, the sector’s leading international trade fair will present pioneering innovations in an optimised hall layout covering around 140,000 square metres and featuring inspiring Focus Areas.

This year, ORGATEC is bringing the #BlindDate project to the stage in collaboration with the Danish Design Makers (DDM) alliance and consultancy firm Målbar. The purpose of the unique design challenge is to foster creative processes without preconceptions and put sustainability at the forefront of design.

The many different aspects of future-oriented office building management will be front and centre in the #OfficeXperience Focus Area at ORGATEC 2024. In conjunction with rehub and CADEMI, the leading international trade fair is preparing to bring a unique live office showcase to the stage, packed with inspiration and innovations, developed by professionals for professionals.

From 22 to 25 October 2024, the Wherever Whenever – Work Culture Festival will celebrate its inaugural edition as part of ORGATEC in Halls 6 and 9 of the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds. Organised by the German Interior Business Association (IBA), the festival will present a high-calibre programme featuring over 100 international speakers across six stages. It will focus on groundbreaking trends and the transformations that modern work environments are undergoing.

In the #InspiredAugmentedOffice Focus Area, ORGATEC is collaborating with zgoll: to overcome the boundaries of reality and present modern workspaces in new dimensions. Visitors will be able to experience a staged future office landscape and virtually immerse themselves in the office of tomorrow with the aid of zintoo: – a newly developed augmented reality app.

From 22 to 25 October 2024, ORGATEC will join forces with Haute Innovation to present the #CircularBiomaterials Focus Area in Hall 4.2 of the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds. Designed to accelerate the industry’s transition to a circular economy, this special event area will provide extensive insights into the future of circular material technologies from the biological cycle.
