The event
The quality of space plays an important role when choosing a place to work. Places where ‘you can work well’ are favoured - a guiding aspect for the design of new working environments, as well as for multi-local working and the current ‘return to office’ initiatives. Physical environmental factors and room design have been proven to influence concentration, collaboration and creativity. Last but not least, it also depends on the fit between the task and the working environment. In addition, innovative spatial concepts such as recreation rooms can help to make the best use of work breaks and regenerate exhausted attention resources. But what constitutes productivity-enhancing spatial quality? And how can productivity even be measured? These questions will be examined scientifically and practically in the lecture ‘Tempting productivity - Effective spatial quality for new working environments’.
