Climate-friendly building: EDGE Suedkreuz Berlin - a timber hybrid construction

The seven-storey office ensemble EDGE Suedkreuz was built entirely in sustainable modular construction. The larger of the two buildings is currently the largest free-standing timber hybrid building in Germany. In the construction of the buildings, the focus was on reducing the carbon footprint as much as possible, especially the weight of the complex, using sustainable recyclable materials and reconciling the aesthetics of the building with an ethical approach to nature.
