The event
One thing is clear: there has not been such a bundle of challenges as in the previous corona pandemic in recent decades. Much or almost everything has been discussed and questioned. Real estate in particular has made it into the discussions; do we still need offices when employees prefer to work at home? How should our office even compete with the cosy, if somewhat anti-ergonomic, home office? How can a regulation for home office - excuse me; 'mobile working' look like? How many days of mobile working do we allow and how much will employees accept it?
From the experts' point of view, it was a clear-cut issue that seems almost without alternative: Floor space down, quality up and then the return on investment will be somewhere between the day after tomorrow and the next three years. But is it really that simple? Does the issue really deserve such a simple three-sentence approach or is the situation much more complex?
In his lecture, Sven Mylius will get to the bottom of these questions and provide insights into the current observations of Drees & Sommer. He will explain the first results in the Workspace Benchmark Report 2022, which will be published at the end of October, and he will offer guidance in classifying the results.
