The signs for a successful third edition of ORGATEC TOKYO in May 2024 are extremely good

Following the success of the 2023 edition, ORGATEC TOKYO, Asia's leading office furniture and workplace exhibition, will be held at Tokyo Big Sight for three days from 29-31 May 2024. Roughly 80% of previous exhibitors have already registered to exhibit, with the average exhibition space per company increasing by more than 20%. Leading brands such as Okamura, Kokuyo and Itoki have already announced their participation in ORGATEC TOKYO 2024. These results speak for themselves in terms of participant satisfaction at ORGATEC TOKYO and confirm the strong confidence and support the event has received from the industry.

The Japanese office furniture market is now very buoyant following the major changes in the workplace since Covid-19, with some major companies achieving record sales. And the Asia-Pacific office furniture market is growing by leaps and bounds and is expected to account for 45% of the global market by 2030. As an Asian hub, Tokyo continues to play a leading and central role in this fast-growing market.

For this large potential market, ORGATEC TOKYO, under the motto 'SHIFT DESIGN', provides an ideal platform to showcase the most innovative and sophisticated office furniture and cutting-edge workplace designs and solutions to high-level industry representatives. The main target group for international exhibitors such as import agents, wholesalers and trading companies accounts for about 25% of all visitors, while architects and designers represent more than 20%. In addition, exhibitors of semi-finished products such as materials, textiles and lighting systems benefit from the excellent networking opportunities with many other exhibitors.

Managing Director of Koelnmesse Japan, Makoto Takagi stated: “What began two years ago as an office furniture and design event in Japan has now grown into one of the industry's most influential events, encompassing not only Japan but the entire East Asian region. This remarkable development reflects the resilience of the industry and its remarkable ability to adapt and continue to grow.
